About the image
This photo captures the iconic Charles Bridge in Prague, with its stunning Gothic towers and bustling pedestrian walkway. The Vltava River reflects the historic charm of the city, dotted with small boats gliding peacefully across the water. The vibrant mix of architectural styles, from the domed churches to the medieval stone bridge, creates a picturesque scene that perfectly embodies the essence of Prague. It was one of my favourite stops across Europe and I cant wait to go back!

Lake Bled – Slovenia

The small island in Lake Bled is called Bled Island (Blejski otok in Slovenian). It’s the only natural island in Slovenia and is famous for the Pilgrimage Church of the Assumption of Maria, which has a picturesque bell tower that visitors often ring for good luck. You can reach the island by a traditional wooden boat called a pletna or by rowing yourself. The island also has 99 stone steps leading up to the church, adding to its fairytale-like charm.

This house sits peacefully on the other side of Lake Bled, surrounded by greenery with beautiful views of the clear water and nearby hills. Its simple charm fits perfectly with the natural landscape, and the calm reflection on the lake adds to the quiet, relaxing feel of the scene.

Looking out over Lake Bled, this house rests peacefully by the water’s edge, surrounded by lush greenery and mountain views. Across the lake, Bled Castle stands proudly on a rocky cliff—Slovenia’s oldest castle, dating back to the 11th century. It offers incredible views of the lake and houses a museum showcasing the region’s history. The calm water and natural beauty create a quiet, relaxing atmosphere, with the castle adding a touch of timeless charm to the scene.

On our walk from the station to Lake Bled I spotted this tree extending out above the rest. For reason of simplicity, I took the photograph to capture the mountainous terrain. The tree however, still takes the centrepiece.
